Excerpts of my journey to find peace, love, and a JOB.

After a year of job searching with no luck, I need therapy. No worries, I'm not psychotic. Since I can't afford to pay a therapist, this blog will have to do.

What's my story?
Since graduating from college, almost 10 months ago, I have yet to find a job in online marketing. Unfortunately, a Bachelors degree in marketing and internship experience has not been enough to land me a job. Lady's and gentleman, wit and good looks aren't enough to get you a job.

In two months, I will no longer have the excuse "I just graduated" and that is frightening. During these past ten months I've made plenty of contacts, networked with random strangers, and bravely applied to shady craigslist posts. So far, all of these quests have proved fruitless.

Luckily, I've found other ways to support myself (almost all legal) as a babysitter, unpaid intern, barista, "coffee demo girl", marketing subcontractor.

If anything, these jobs have taught me patience, reinforced why I believe some people should not have children, and why full-time employment is so precious.

It's my goal to provide anecdotal accounts of my long journey to full-time employment as an entry-level college graduate. If anything, it'll be a good story and hopefully you'll learn what not to do when you are applying for jobs. I'm still waiting for that window/door to open. It's going to be a long journey....
